According to a Gainesville Police Department report, Henderson and his roommate had a fight Wednesday when Henderson allegedly grabbed the victim and forced her into his room.

There, he allegedly tore off her clothes and slapped the woman many times, police said.

When the victim attempted to leave, he grabbed her by her hair and forced her back into his room, according to the report.

Once she was back in his room, he then allegedly burned her on the elbow with a hot clothes iron before letting the victim get up, according to the report. She escaped the residence completely naked and called law enforcement, police said.

According to the report, Henderson told police he was just "messing" with the victim and that she flailed her arms around, causing the burn.

Evelyn Lauder, the daughter-in-law of cosmetics magnate Estee Lauder who helped create the pink ribbon symbol for breast cancer awareness, died Saturday at her Manhattan home from complications of non-genetic ovarian cancer. She was 75.

In 1992, Lauder worked with her friend Alexandra Penney, the former editor-in-chief of Self magazine, to create the pink ribbon campaign for breast cancer awareness. It started small with Lauder and her husband, Leonard, largely financing the little bows given to women at department store makeup counters to remind them about breast exams.

That grew into fundraising products, congressional designation of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and $330 million in donations — $50 million from Estee Lauder and its partners — to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which Lauder also started.

That money helped establish the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, which opened in 2009.

A man was caught on camera spinning while he swung the two-year-old black cat, called Mowgli, in Ramsgate, Kent. After the video went viral. 20-year old Riain Richards handed himself in for the crime.

Riain seems to be no stranger to trouble.

One said: ‘Riain is a trouble-maker. He has damaged cars, has young girls to the house and is always playing loud music. One night people came and smashed all the windows in his house.

‘His mother died last year after falling down the stairs. His father is a nice man, but he can’t control Riain. He is away working from  Sunday to Friday. We hope this will mean he will finally leave the street.’ Photographs of jobless Richards on the social networking site Bebo show him drinking and apparently smoking cannabis joints with his friends, who he describes as ‘potheads’.

Last night it also emerged that Richards’s half-brother, Ross  Hammond, 31, is serving a life  sentence after being convicted in April 2003 of sexually abusing and murdering a baby.

Jade Hart – the 13-month-old daughter of Hammond’s then girlfriend – died of a brain haemorrhage. Hammond had inflicted 117 separate injuries on her, leaving her with a broken leg, fractured ribs and a black eye.

Richards is accused of swinging Mowgli around by his tail at least 14 times during the early morning attack last month.

On Halloween, a bikini-clad surfer was a quarter-mile from Seabright Beach (near Santa Cruz, California), when two humpback whales shot up right in front of her looking briefly as if they've swallowed the surfer whole. Check the video -

The whales got national attention last week when a photographer with the Santa Cruz County Conference and Visitors Council got a lucky shot of a kayaker surprised by a pair of them breaching just a few feet away.

The U.S. Coast Guard issued warnings advising the public to stay at least 100 yards away from the animals or risk a hefty fine – minimum $2,500 – for whale harassment.

Barb Roettger, a massage therapist, recorded the close encounter with a telephoto lens from her kayak.

“I was there to see whales,” Roettger told ABC News. “They were in a feeding frenzy.”

Roettger said she had focused her camera on the surfer for one specific reason.

“She wasn’t wearing a wetsuit and the water was very cold,” Roettger said.

After the whales vanished back into the deep, Roettger spoke to the girl.

“I think she was in shock,” she said.

Alfonso Cano, 62-year old top leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), was killed by Colombian troops during an anti-guerrilla operation. There was a US $5 million reward for the capture of Cano. He took over the leadership of the FARC after its founder, Manuel Marulanda Velez, died in 2008.

"The military has thus achieved one of its most important goals," Alberto Gonzalez Mosquera, governor of Cauca department, told local radio late Friday.

He added that Cano had died in the western part of his department located in the southwest of the country.

A military intelligence source also confirmed the death of the FARC leader to AFP.

"We have been able to confirm that Cano has been killed," said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "We don't know yet all the details, but his death is a fact."

Cano came from a middle class family, as his father was an agronomist and his mother a teacher.

He studied law and anthropology at the National University in Bogota, where he is remembered as an avid scholar of history and other social sciences.

He earned his stripes in the Communist Party and joined the FARC in the 1970s where he quickly rose through the ranks becoming the group's chief ideologist.

Throughout his career as a guerrilla leader, Cano combined military strikes with attempts to consolidate gains made by the insurgents through negotiations with the government.

Shortly before the 2010 inauguration of Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, Cano made public a video, in which he called for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Colombia.

The girl had consumed copious amounts of alcohol during the evening and ended up passing out on a bed.

The two men then decided it would be fun to take some compromising pictures of the woman. In one instance the men can be seen giving each other a “high-five” with their sex organs exposed next to the woman's sleeping body.

The men also pulled down the 18-year-old's shirt and took pictures of her bare breasts while she slept.

Police came across the pictures months later on a computer belonging to one of the men in the course of a drugs investigation and were able to identify the woman using transcripts of internet chat conversations.

When police informed the woman about the existence of the humiliating pictures, she decided to pursue a criminal case against the men, who were eventually charged with sexual molestation.

The burglars had broken into a house, taken his car keys and driven off in his vehicle with the laptop in it.

Smith has been sentenced to 12 months in prison. He has also been made subject to a sexual offences prevention order, which places his Internet use under certain conditions. He must also sign the sex offenders' register.
